The benefits of aluminium front doors
Aluminium front doors are strong and durable doors, making them reliable options for large scale residential or commercial developments. They’re available in a wide range of designs and colours, meaning that you can choose the ideal design for the style and requirements of your project.
Aluminium doors can also be highly energy-efficient, helping to keep a premises cool in summer and warm in winter. This also makes them an environmentally friendly alternative to other types of commercial front doors, improving your reputation as a property developer.
Configuration options
You can either choose a Single Front Door, or French Door option for a property development. The right choice will depend on the aperture size available, and the style of the property. The doors can also be used in a garage space, and the Origin Garage Door is made in the same style as the Origin Front Door, to bring your customer’s home together and keep continuity whilst maintaining its look.
Origin Front Doors can also open inwards or outwards. This allows you to choose the best external door option for the available space and surroundings.
Front door size options
Individual doors can be manufactured to a maximum width of 1200mm, with a maximum height of 3000mm . French doors can fit in apertures of 2400mm, and if the property’s entranceway is larger, side panels or flags can be added to the top or side.

Front door accessories
Handles
At Origin, handle options include our bar handle range, a finger pull escutcheon, an offset lever handle range or our premium stainless steel handle range. The bar handles are available in three styles - straight, offset and bow. The straight and offset handles come in 3 sizes: 500mm, 1200mm and 1800mm. The bow bar handle comes in two sizes: 550mm and 720mm, and all come in a brushed stainless-steel finish. The pull handles are available with automatic locking only. When using an offset or handle from our Premium range, this is available with an 8 point locking system. The offset lever handle is available in black, white, chrome or stainless-steel. Premium handles are available in 5 different styles. These can be in a stainless-steel finish or can be colour coded.
The hinges of an Origin Front Door can also be colour coded to your door colour, can be contrasted, or are available in stainless steel.

Locks
The locks available for front doors can be difficult to choose from, however, they are vital for protecting a property. Additionally – the higher the quality of the locks, the better your reputation and testimonials will be as a property developer.
The Origin Residential Door can be specified with the same high security 8-point locking system as used in the Origin Bi-fold Door. The multi-point lock was developed in-house by Origin and offers 8-points of locking. It can conform to all of the latest security standards including Document Q compliance, PAS 24:2016 and Secured by Design. As an alternative to the 8-point locking system with a lever-to-lever handle, a 5-point automatic locking system is also available. This allows the user to simply shut the door and turn the key without the need to lift the handle first.

The above colours are available on a 1-week lead time when ordering a panel from our Kensington Range, allowing you to stick to deadlines and prevent any delays.
Alternatively, panels from the Sandringham Range, dual coloured or any RAL coloured door can be selected on a 5-week lead time. The right colour for a front door will depend on the style of the property, and whether you want to match the front door of a property to other doors, such as the patio doors.
