Why Origin?
Having explored the market for bi-folds, Origin were the only Aluminium option to manufacture the large doors. Another factor was the aesthetics of Origin’s bi-folding doors which really suits the Vineyard, providing a sophisticated finish.
The tall set of bi-folding doors measure at 2345mm in height, only possible due to Origin designing and manufacturing the entire bi-folds in the UK.
Edge Building Products generated the quote and order for Tinwood Vineyard themselves via our online system, which allowed them a lot of flexibility in when they were able to negotiate the sale. In an industry where it is common to take 5 working days to input quotes by hand, Edge were able to raise this in a matter of minutes negating the lengthy time periods which can lead to a loss of tender.
Support Received from Origin…
When installing the bifolds there was a little difficulty with the rollers in the track due to the flush threshold, Edge raised this with Origin who were able to provide on-site support from the Service team who provided an assisted installation so the fitters are able to take the advice to all their future installs.
Origin have also invested heavily in our stock levels, production capacity and storage which provides reliability in that we are a supplier who you can rely on. With the aforementioned increase in storage, we are able to deliver On Time and In Full every time meaning you can have full confidence in planning and meeting project deadlines.

This was the first commercial job that Edge had specified Origin for. Not only was the building shortlisted for a RIBA award, this job won the award for installation of the month from Edge Building Products, which comes as no surprise when you see all of the pictures.
